Since Idaho started its "Idaho Chess Foundation" last winter, we have accumulated almost $50.00, which is really quite good in a short period. This fund is being allowed to collect interest and the principal amount will not be touched. Our hope is that in a few years we will have enough money to use the interest for tournament prizes, etc. for the State Association. Perhaps some fund raising projects by some of our clubs will help the fund grow. It is a small start but it is a start which will someday amount to something.

This report will be an irregular feature from now on, paid by annual dues from corresponding members. For complete Idaho and regional details, subscribe to the Northwest Chess Letter! Send $3.00 to your Idaho Editor.
