TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT!

June 28, 1980 - a four round, one day swiss tournament. Time Limit 45/1½

Open to any chess player residing in any state.

Location: Boise State University Union Bldg., College Blvd. & Bellevue, Boise.

Entry Fee: $12, under 19 or over 64 $10, if received by 6/25. $14 and $12 later.

Note: A discount from the above fees of $2.00 will be given any player coming from a location more than 100 miles from Boise! This reduced entry fee will coincide with the announcement sent to CHESS LIFE.

Sections: Three separate tournaments (classes will not be mixed): 1600 and over, 1400-1599, and under 1400 and unrated.

Guaranteed Prize Fund: $25.00 for 1st in each class

plus $7.00 for each half point scored by anyone in all sections over an even 2-2 score.

Registration: 8-8:45 am. Round times 9:00 - 12:30 - 4:00 - 7:30.

LOCAL TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Boise Chess Club will hold its annual Handicap Rapid Transit Tournament Wednesday evening, April 9, 7:15 pm. at the Boise State University Union Bldg. Entry fee is $2.00 except $1.00 for seniors, junior and BSU students. However, all participants must belong to or join the Boise Chess Club. Memberships may be purchased by anyone, for the balance of 1980, for $6.00, or $4.00 for seniors, juniors, and BSU students. Players will be handicapped using their USCF ratings with low rated players given more and high rated players less than the standard 15-minute-each time limits.
