The Idaho Chess Association held the 5th Annual Idaho Scholastic Girls Championship at Washington Elementary School on February 23, 2008. 36 Students were in attendance. As usual, a good time was had by all, and the tournament was a success. Erica Barkell won the tournament for the third consecutive year and will represent Idaho in the Polgar tournament later this year.
